I wanted to give you guys a little update on Penelope (here are some previous posts on what she has been through). She is doing so well! She has been eating everything by mouth for a month now. She is really doing well with solid foods and takes a bottle no problem. That has been a huge step in the right direction. The feeding tube comes out next week! I am so excited for it to come out. I’m not exactly sure what the healing process will look like, but it will be a huge step in the right direction.
Today we start physical therapy with her. Penelope is a little behind on her gross motor skills. I’m nervous to see what that will be like, but I know we’re not the first ones to go through this. Penelope is such a tough little girl. She’ll do great, I’m sure.
