Play Clothes…

October 7, 2014

Owl Hat and Gloves, Adirondack Coat, Sparkle Tee, Jegging, Nike Free Run 5.0

I have been shopping for play clothes lately for my daughter.  She goes to a Montessori school and moved up a room.  Now she plays outside every day.  Which I love that she gets outside, but her clothes have shown just how hard she likes to play. I went to Target and the Gap to try and find her some cute new clothes to wear that I wouldn’t care as much about getting ruined.  I was sad to tuck away her cute little dresses and tights but she can still rock those on Sunday mornings.

I found the cutest outerwear at Target. This coat is so cute.  She looks like a little person when she wears it.  Then I got her a new set of hat and gloves.  I can’t keep them on her yet but I know she’ll get used to them soon.   I hope!  The other thing I grabbed from Target were some jeggings. She wears jeans a lot to school but I bought two more pairs that we could use for awhile. The one thing I like about Target.com is they have free shipping over $50 and sometimes they have sales only if you buy online.

Then from the Gap I got a couple cute tops and a pair of black pants.  I love this Pink and Navy Striped top.  Ms Dahlia is a walking advertisement for me in it.

Sometimes I think dressing a boy would be so much easier because they can wear casual clothes and get away with it so much easier.  You aren’t fighting them with bows in their hair. Then I realize they have their own set of challenges when it comes to clothes. Let’s just be honest, for the most part girls clothes are WAY cuter. These clothes from the Gap are still cute.   Here are the jeans I could get for a boy from Target.  I really like this hat and gloves. Target also has really great outerwear for boys.

The final piece of Dahlia’s outfit is her shoes.  I think hands down I have had the best luck with Nike’s I really really like them will buy them in more sizes for her to wear to school.  They’re the perfect style for both boys and girls. I still haven’t found that perfect winter boot but I really want these Sorel boots.  I hope this helps you get started on shopping for your little ones.  Send me an e-mail if I can ever help at PinkandNavyStripes@gmail.com. The little pink hat is TOO CUTE! I love anything with pom-poms on it. When I have kids I’m pretty sure I’m just going to stick poms all over their clothes.

So cute! It’s definitely going to be a while until I have my own kids, but looking at clothes like this makes me want a little one to just dress up all the time.
